New Symphonic Metal Milestone Epica The most famous Dutch symphonic metal band returns in 2016 with a new album. Of course, we're talking about Epica. "The Holographic Principle" is the title of their seventh studio album. It is a concept album that deals with a future influenced by virtual reality. A time when we can no longer distinguish between the virtual and real worlds. Epica deals with this thought construction on the album "The Holographic Principle" in a total of 12 tracks. They were recorded in 2016 together with Joost van der Broek at Sand Lane Studios in Rijen. And Simone Simons (vocals), Mark Jansen (guitar, vocals, growling), Isaac Delahaye (guitar), Rob van der Loo (bass), Coen Janssen (keyboards) and Ariën van Weesenbeek (drums) show their love for detail once again in it. Elaborate song structures, hard-hitting riffs, big melodies and elaborate live orchestral and choral parts all have their place on "The Holographic Principle". In the end, Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Destruction) mixed the songs, Stefan Heinemann designed the cover art and the new album was ready. In addition to the standard CD, "The Holographic Principle" is also available as a double CD with an additional acoustic CD and as a 3 CD set in a high quality earbook. The 48-page, 28 x 28 cm book contains the new album, an acoustic bonus CD and an instrumental version of the album on an additional CD.
