The English label Pye Records had big names in its repertoire, such as Lonnie Donegan (1956-69), Petula Clark (1957-71), The Searchers (1963-67), The Kinks (1964-71), Sandie Shaw (1964-71), Status Quo (1968-71) and Brotherhood Of Man (1975-79). However, it was also possible to see the pop faction of the girl groups of Pye and its sub-label Piccadilly Records, which had a big part in the label's success in the 1960s. This compilation features 24 selected tracks. Among them are Petula Clark, The Satin Bells, Sharon Tandy and of course our cover girl Sandie Shaw, who won the Grand Prix in 1967 with "Puppet On A String" on Pye!
