For The Music is Blackfield's most ambitious and expansive album to date, combining their psychedelic sound with impeccable pop sensibilities while having a serious and sometimes dark undertone. As on their previous album Blackfield V, Aviv once again takes the lead role as producer, songwriter, composer and instrumentalist, but Steven is still heavily involved in the production, playing guitar on several tracks and singing lead vocals on three songs. The ten tracks on The Music range from psychedelic melodies to refined ballads; it's a compact and fully realized expression of modern pop.
