Bon Jovi re-released their third studio album "Slippery When Wet". It was first released in 1986 and provided the American band with an international breakthrough. The hair metal style of music also helped Bon Jovi's rise. The cover features a wet garbage bag with blurred writing. Naming the thirteen-track album, however, proved complicated. In addition to suggestions like "Guns N' Roses" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive", "Slippery When Wet" was also a choice. The band decided on "Slippery When Wet" due to inspiration from a nightclub visit. Although it is in the style of hair metal, elements of pop rock and rock cannot be omitted. Apart from "Never Say Goodbye", Bon Jovi set a considerable pace on the album. The band was inspired by love and the joy of life ("Livin' On A Prayer"). Only "Wanted Dead Or Alive" falls out of this scheme thematically.
