In addition, 2017 will mark the 50th anniversary of his collaboration with singer-songwriter Bernie Taupin. Two good reasons to re-release classic songs by the British singer-songwriter on vinyl. "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player" is Elton John's sixth studio album. It was originally released on January 26, 1973. John composed all the songs for the album in just two days and eventually recorded them at the Château d'Hérouville studio near Paris, including the singles "Crocodile Rock" and "Daniel". "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player" reached number one in both the UK and US charts. For re-release on vinyl in 2017, the album was remastered from the original analog tapes by Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering) and edited by Sean Magee at Abbey Road studios. A classic completely remastered back on vinyl: Elton John's sixth album "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player". In addition to "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player", "Tumbleweed Connection", "Honky Château", "Caribou", "Rock Of The Westies", "Blue Moves", "The Big Picture" and "Empty Sky" will also be released on vinyl in 2017.
