More than 25 years of Gamma Ray - more than 25 years of heavy metal from Hamburg: What started in the spring of 1990 with the release of their debut album "Heading For Tomorrow" has reached international fame a quarter of a century later. Eleven successful studio albums, various live albums, worldwide tours with sold-out concerts and numerous appearances at national and international festivals - the band around singer and guitarist Kai Hansen (ex-Helloween) took the world by storm. "Land Of The Free", released in 1995, was Gamma Ray's fourth studio album and the first on which Kai Hansen took on the role of vocalist. His unique voice along with fast and hard riffs thrilled fans and media then as much as they do now. The 2017 Anniversary Edition features remastered 13 original tracks and four instrumental versions from the 2016 and 2017 Gamma Ray sessions, plus remastered versions of "Heavy Metal Mania", "As Time Goes By" (pre-production version) and "The Silence '95".
