The album will be released in 2021 on world in red / AWAL Recordings and was created completely independently of Girl In Red's original work, which she produced together with Matias Tellez. With the new single "Serotonin" and her approach to rap, Girl In Red is entering new musical territory. Still, fans don't have to miss her signature guitar sound, which is an intoxicating earworm on GRAMMY winner and producer Billie Eilish's co-produced album FINNEAS. "When I figured out how to do this rap part of the song Serotonin, I was like, this is the best shit that's ever happened to me! And the fact that the cool synth sounds like that, the whole thing actually - that was very cool for me," Marie says of her bold leap out of her own comfort zone. Despite its novel aspects, however, 'Serotonin' is raw, ruthlessly honest and a journey into the deep psyche that is so characteristic of Girl In Red; an internal dialogue with her mental health.
