Lorna Shore's new album "Immortal" is a black-tinged, symphonic and epic shockwave. Having made a decent name for themselves touring the world with the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex and Chelsea Grin, "Immortal" heralds a new era in their history. This began in 2010, however, with the EPs "Bone Kingdom" (2012) and "Malificium" (2013), Lorna Shores didn't stay at the level of a well-known local band for long, building a reputation as a dynamic live act with each album released. 2017's "Flesh Coffin" already showed a mature, uncompromising modern metal band that had outgrown typical deathcore. "We were finally the band we wanted to be and not just a product of our early influences," explains guitarist Adam De Micco. "'Immortal' opens a new chapter for us as a band, musicians and people." Along with new vocalist C.J. McCreery (formerly of Signs of the Swarm) and producer Josh Schroeder (Battlecross, King 810, For Today), Lorna Shore recorded the album at Random Awesome Studios in Midland, MI, a clear and distinct departure from their previous work. They have already released two tracks "This Is Hell" and "Darkest Spawn" as a first taste, with more to follow before the album is released.
