On the album "Blessing in Disguise" the band continued the 80's metal formula from their previous albums and incorporated some speed metal elements into their characteristic songwriting. The album opens with epic guitar lines and a glistening performance from Mike Howe, making "Fake Healer" a remarkable track and one of the best songs the band has ever released. Other highlights include the powerful and cathartic "Anthem to the Estranged" and "The Spell That Can't Be Broken". Both bands offer the excellent guitar work that has distinguished Metal Church throughout their careers.
