The album will feature some of Oldfield's most popular tracks, who has worked on new arrangements and new sounds for his songs. All tracks have been reworked from the original multi-track recordings and co-mixed by Mike Oldfield and multi-platinum award winning German producer Torsten "York" Stenzel. Mike Oldfield's newly recorded guitar parts were added to the mix, making Tubular Beats a new album in every way. The album closes with a brand new song featuring former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen. Mike Oldfield and Torsten Stenzel had already collaborated before "Tubular Beats", but on this new album the pair were able to combine their styles for the first time in a fully fleshed out project that added their approach and flair to Oldfield's best known tracks with all the solutions electronic music has to offer. Mike has a rich career and experience in pop, instrumental and electronic music. I love his music and his distinctive guitar sound. My work on this song was inspired by Mike's song "Islands", which features another idol from my youth: Bonnie Tyler.
