When it came out, fans of Mobywere irritated by it, because instead of another electronic album, Moby turned to alternative and punk rock without warning. In retrospect, however, this album fits perfectly into his discography and is in tune with his socialization and worldview. On Moby, he covers Mission Of Burma's "That's When I Reach for My Revolver" and after its release he decided to tour with artists like Soundgarden and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The cover features a just two-month-old Moby in the arms of her grandfather.
