40 years of Nazareth. The greatest hits of Scottish rockers live. Nazareth broke through in 1973 with the album Razamanaz, produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover. The following year saw the release of Loud'n'Proud. It contained a cover version of Joni Mitchell's This Flight Tonight, which became an international hit and topped the sales chart in Germany. In 1974, the film Rampant was released, also produced by Roger Glover. The following years were probably the most productive. In particular, the successful rock ballad Love Hurts achieved endless chart placements and became an evergreen. In 1975 the album Hair Of The Dog was released. Hair Of The Dog, Expect No Mercy and No Mean City are considered part of the new wave of British heavy metal that evolved from traditional hard rock in the late 1970s and was decisively influenced by bands such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.
