Unobtrusively, the electropop project Owl City and its great hit "Fireflies" topped the US charts. Not only that, it was also the most downloaded single on itunes and now it is starting to be played on European radios, including Czech ones. Owl City is the project of twenty-three-year-old Adam Young from Minnesota. On the album "Ocean Eyes" he collaborated mainly with vocalist Matt Thiessen from the band Relient K. Young's main influences include disco, European electropop and 80s synthpop. But most importantly, Young can write hits with catchy choruses that can lift the mood. Fresh, dreamy pop for everyone!
