The wait has paid off, and the growing community of Parkway Drive fans can rejoice: Even more brutal, but also even more melodic - the Australian quintet takes their already not-so-subtle metalcore up a notch on their fifth album "Ire". "Ire" stays true to the classic Parkway Drive sound, but the eleven new tracks have far more depth than anything else the band, formed in the summer of 2003, has released to date. It's clear, then, that the album can be characterized as a consistent and interesting creative evolution. Vocalist Winston McCall, the two guitarists Luke Kilpatrick and Jeff Ling, bassist Jia O'Connor and drummer Ben Gordon have no shortage of such commitment even in "real life". Just watch the video for "Vice Grip", the first single from the album "Ire", in which the guys jump out of planes into the blue, to know: the Parkway Drive don't take prisoners, they're real men of conviction.
