British singer and former member of the legendary Beatles Sir Paul McCartney releases his long-awaited live album Good Evening New York City. Paul McCartney held a series of three concerts in New York City in July. Fans who didn't have the opportunity to hear the popular artist live can at least enjoy the concert through a record or DVD. The collection is packed with hits, not only solo ones, but of course also classics from The Beatles such as Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby and Hey Jude. "It's been a great three nights for the band and it was very exciting for me personally to be here for the opening of the new stadium on the site of the old Shea Stadium where we played with the Beatles forty-four years ago," McCartney said. Paul McCartney also welcomed special guest, American rock singer and songwriter Billy Joel, to the stage. The performance, nearly three hours long, in which McCartney played 33 songs, was filmed by fifteen high-definition cameras and 75 small cameras placed in the audience. The resulting music mix in stereo and 5.1 was handled by Paul Hicks, who has won two Grammys for his Beatles album Love. The standard edition of the set will include two audio CDs and one DVD. A deluxe version will also be available, which will be enhanced with a DVD. The bonus DVD will include footage of Paul McCartney performing at the Ed Sullivan Theatre.
