November will bring another rare live album by Queen!There is no doubt that the British band Queen is one of the greatest music legends. It's all the more gratifying when some rare material is discovered in the archives that fans know exists but have not yet had the opportunity to enjoy in the comfort of their own homes. On November 20, another such musical gem will be on the market.It was 1975 and it was Christmas Eve. But the members of Queen were not spending the festive season with their loved ones, as they were due to perform at London's Hammersmith Odeon, which was also being filmed for television. The band had just topped the charts, and this in many ways extraordinary show was part of a tour that then went on to America and Japan... And it is this concert that will be in stores in November under the title A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 on CD, two vinyls, as well as DVD and Blu-ray, and of course it will be available digitally. "This concert was very special for us. It was the very first time we played the whole show completely for television. Plus, it was a Christmas show," says guitarist Brian May, adding: "After some great salvage work and transfer to digital format, the quality of the recording is amazing. The energy we felt then is still very much felt now. "During the show described above, Queen played fifteen songs from their first four albums, which were complemented by four cover versions of well-known rock'n'roll classics during the Christmas concert. The concert took place at a time when Queen had already dominated the UK singles chart for nine weeks with their hit Bohemian Rhapsody. In addition to this song, which of course was also performed, we can look forward to live versions of the well-known songs Killer Queen, Keep Yourself Alive and God Save The Queen... The visual formats of the title A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 will not only include the legendary Christmas show, but also two very interesting bonus features. The first will be a twenty-two minute documentary featuring never-before-published interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor, in which the two protagonists talk about their concert at London's Hammersmith Odeon. The second will be a recording of three songs from the Live At The Budokan - Japan 1975 show, namely Now I'm Here, Killer Queen and In The Lap Of The Gods, which were recorded during the concert in the Far East.For die-hard fans and collectors, the concert film A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 will also be available in a special limited super deluxe box, combining CD, DVD and Blu-ray formats, which will be complemented by a special vinyl version of Bohemian Rhapsody and a live version of Now I'm Here, recorded during the soundcheck before the Christmas concert. In addition, the box will also offer, for example, a 60-page book with previously unpublished photographs, a replica of the concert poster, tickets or concert programme, as well as posters and replicas of the balloons that were released at the end of the show to the audience... Queen fans have reason to celebrate again, as a rare recording of the 1975 concert will be released on 20 November 2015. The title "A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975" will be released on CD, DVD, Blu-ray and vinyl under the Universal Music label!
