Sepultura setzen Maßstäbe Die brasilianische Thrash-Metal-Institution Sepultura kehrt 2020 mit einem neuen Album zurück.

»Quadra« heißt die mittlerweile 15. Studioplatte der Band, der Nachfolger von »Machine Messiah« aus dem Jahr 2017.

Insgesamt zwölf neue Tracks haben Andreas Kisser (Gitarre, Gesang) und Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. (Bass), Derrick Leon Greens (Gesang) und Eloy Casagrande (Schlagzeug) dafür aufgenommen. Und wie bereits beim Vorgänger ging es dafür ins schwedische Örebro, genauer genommen in die Fascination Street Studios, wo erneut Jens Bogren (Opeth, Kreator, Haken, Amon Amarth) die Produktion übernahm.

Mit der Single »Isolution« gab es bereits 2019 den ersten Vorgeschmack auf »Quadra«.

Und die zeigt: Auch nach 35 Jahren sind Sepultura an Härte, Geschwindigkeit und Technik nicht zu übertreffen. Diese Band setzt Maßstäbe. »Quadra« heißt der neue Beweis.

Sepultura sets the bar Brazilian thrash metal institution Sepultura is returning with a new album in 2020. "Quadra" is the title of the band's fifteenth studio album, the follow-up to 2017's "Machine Messiah". Andreas Kisser (guitar, vocals) and Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. (bass), Derrick Leon Greens (vocals) and Eloy Casagrande (drums) recorded a total of twelve new tracks for it. As with its predecessor, they headed to Örebro, Sweden, more specifically to Fascination Street Studios, where Jens Bogren (Opeth, Kreator, Haken, Amon Amarth) once again took over production. The single "Isolution" was the first precursor to "Quadra" in 2019. And it shows: Even after 35 years, Sepultura cannot be surpassed in terms of hardness, speed and technique. This group sets the standard. "Quadra" is the new proof.
