Slipknot: All Hope Is Gone Die Version auf CD in Standard- Auflage. Diese besondere Auflage wurde veröffentlicht in Europa im Verlag Roadrunner Records am 17. Mai 2019.
After more than three long years of waiting, the masked gentlemen from Des Moines, Iowa will finally return in August with their fourth studio album "All Hope Is Gone"! It's gonna be loud again, it's gonna be hard again, and it's gonna be damn dangerous again when Slipknot, the band that revolutionized the entire metal world overnight with their debut album, returns to the moshpit! While the traditionally natural disaster-plagued Iowa, and especially the Des Moines crisis hotbed, continues to report from the land down under, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and his fabled Chaos crew quietly hammered out a new masterpiece last spring that has it all: Together with producer Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Mudvayne, Eyehategod, Superjoint Ritual...) and mix master Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Murderdolls, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine...), Slipknot managed to record a new masterpiece in an old studio). With "All Hope Is Gone", Slipknot have managed to create a truly diabolical, black monster of an album in the tried and tested Soundfarm studio in Iowa, which should be considered a testament rather than a profanity-laced album, as Taylor explains, "Every album we've made is a testament to that time space. I think this period is the most mature, the most beautiful and the most powerful. We've made an album that shows the journey we've been on, the journey we have ahead of us, and where we are as men. I think it's the best thing I've ever made. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong!" As the Maggots faithful were able to see for themselves in late June when the title track "All Hope Is Gone" was made available for free download on the internet for a very dramatic 24 hours, narrowly missing a solid server outage by a US internet provider! It's not only due to their innovative nature that Slipknot have managed to establish themselves far beyond the metal scene as a force to be reckoned with in the hard rock realm. As the pioneers of a whole new generation of metal, the crazy nine-piece celebrate what they do best in perfection: crushing riffs and thunderous drums combine with a mixture of brutal screams and melodic vocals, as they impressively demonstrate once again in the track "All Hope Is Gone". Whether Slipknot will lead their listeners out of their wide-eyed rhythm by declaring "We're gonna burn down your cities!" from the widescreen groove killer "Gematria" at the beginning of the album to throw a massive thrash mallet between their listeners' legs with the highly explosive "Sulphur", or the chillingly manic to nauseatingly furious "Gehenna" that evokes little puffs of breath beneath the mask, or the atmospheric ballad "Snuff" that once again gives you goosebumps and is completely unimaginable - when Corey Taylor confesses: "I never claimed to be your saint", it just feels believable. And when you look at it closely, sinners have always been the most interesting personalities. And perhaps also the most sincere. After a well-deserved creative hiatus, Slipknot tighten the hangman's knot again in 2008 and present "All Hope Is Gone", a modern, fresh and above all groundbreaking album that reaffirms their status as one of the most influential metal bands in the world! Masked and dangerous - arguably the most unpredictable band in the world is back! Even if all hope is lost...
