Slipknot's fourth studio album "All Hope Is Gone" was released on August 20, 2008. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 239,000 copies in its first week. It is the band's first album to debut at number one and the first to feature new drummer Joey Jordison since the band's debut album. The album "All Hope Is Gone" was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 8, 2008 and has since sold over 1.1 million copies in the United States. Four singles were released from the album: "Psychosocial", "Dead Memories", "Sulfur" and "Snuff".
