Cult meets innovation After Sparks released their career retrospective "The Best Of Sparks" last year, the American rock and pop icons are looking ahead again in 2020 with a new album "A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip". The last studio album from the iconic band around brothers Ron and Russell Mael, their comeback album after an eight-year hiatus, was released in 2017. "Hippopotamus" reached number seven in the UK charts. And it's this that Sparks are following up with their now 24th studio album. "A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip" again artfully combines pop and electronic elements. The first single from the new album, the song "Self Effacing", was released back in February. And it shows: Even after fifty years of making music together, the Sparks aren't standing still. On the contrary: they sound innovative and fresh as never before.
