The band was adept at covering songs by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall and Willie Dixon, which benefited Stevie Ray Vaughan's modern blues sound. His own compositions like "Say What," "Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love" and "Life Without You" show an artist who is passionate about true blues, but also evolving as a songwriter.
