The fact that not only the film itself is celebrated, but also the accompanying soundtrack, is due to the fact that the music is at the heart of the film. Thus, the protagonist William Miller finds carefully selected rock, pop and folk hits from the late 1960s under his childhood bed, which open up a whole new world for him and launch his professional future: the music-loving teenager becomes a rock journalist at Rolling Stone and accompanies the band Stillwater on tour. The partly autobiographical film, based on the life of director Cameron Crowe, is considered an absolute Hollywood milestone and has won countless awards at highly regarded ceremonies such as the Oscars and the Golden Globes.
