What is the magic of the erotic story Fifty Shades of Grey? There is no simple answer. There are simply phenomena that cannot be explained by logical arguments. Literature student Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) is, in her own words, an uninteresting and boring "grey mouse" with low self-esteem, the opposite of the mysterious businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), whom she has come to interview for an article in a student magazine. Although Grey tries to dissuade her with his cool and aloof demeanour, she is full of it, which is exacerbated by their repeated business meetings. No matter that he warns her how complicated he is and speaks in ominous hints about his specific tastes, Anastasia is unable to resist his attraction. However, even Grey is not immune to this shy girl and gradually begins to open the door to his thirteenth chamber to her. If Anastasia enters it, she will know the real Christian Grey. At the same time, on the bed reserved for the chosen, she will come to know the true Anastasia - her desires, her passions, her animalism. It's almost frightening. The author of the novel, E.L. James, maintained artistic supervision over the filming, and the audience need not worry that the film version will miss some of the "nourishing" passages from the novel. "My book is quite extensive, which those who have devoured it directly probably don't realise. Of course we had to cut back, but everything that went out can be logically justified.
