Product Information - Sadly, our good friend and colleague Vicki Fox passed away in 2016. She worked at Rock On as a teenager before going on to work for Ace, where her photo restoration skills enriched many of our releases. Vicki was a gifted artist and passionate music fan, her joie de vivre and vibrant personality enriched everything she undertook - Vicki also compiled several releases herself. Her love of cats was immortalized on the CD "Feline Groovy" which launched a thousand t-shirts. "All Aboard" followed, a very eclectic collection of songs about trains - Vicki's latest and most recent compilation is equally eclectic, drawing on another of her passions - wild and wacky instrumentals. "Sounds Unexpected" celebrates the unusual, groovy and downright crazy with 24 of her favorite cuts, ranging from MOR to reggae, rockabilly to R&B. With recordings by André Brasseur, The Tornados, Travis Wammack, Martin Denny and The Upsetters, the result is never less than fascinating and entertaining - In keeping with her own inclusive nature, two dozen of Vicki's friends and work colleagues contributed liner notes.
