What happens when an industrial millionaire, a professional player and a member of the Swiss national golf team meet? Dieter Meier, an heir-turned-conceptual artist, teamed up with Boris Blank in the late 1970s to form the electronic synth group Yello, but it wasn't until the late 1980s that they found success with the international hit "The Race," which was used in commercials and sports programs around the world. Samples and beats met Meier's deep voice and Yello became experts at combining the subtle and the eclectic. 1998's "Flag" contains the hit "The Race" and experiments with Afro-Cuban rhythms like "Tied Up". This first vinyl release since 1989 comes with an insert.
