New York Post-Punk Band

Bodega is an American post-punk band from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 2016, the band quickly gained recognition for their energetic live performances and sharp social commentary wrapped in minimalist rock arrangements. The group consists of Ben Hozie (vocals, guitar), Nikki Belfiglio (vocals, percussion), Heather Elle (bass), Tai Lee (drums), and Dan Ryan (guitar). They released their debut album "Endless Scroll" in 2018 to critical acclaim, with many praising its clever lyrics and catchy hooks. The album was produced by Austin Brown of the band Parquet Courts, a detail that further cemented their connection to the New York indie rock scene. Following their debut, Bodega continued to build on their momentum with subsequent releases such as the "Shiny New Model" EP in 2019 and their second full-length album "Broken Equipment" in 2022. Their music often reflects on contemporary issues, technology, and the human experience through a satirical lens, establishing them as a distinctive voice within the modern rock landscape.
