Moody Opera singer Feline Lang and Metal cellist Christoph Klemke have been trying to contact their home planet since 2011 – to no avail, despite the aid of the fold-up cello, the synthetic piano, the ship’s computer, stuff to bang on, and Feline’s interstellar voice. Now, they get angry. Darker and scarier they return from their travels all across Europe and the US, and bring their Dark Cabaret from Berlin directly in your face.
Their theatrical multimedia show is an overwhelming cyberpunk dystopy, stylistically between METROPOLIS and BLADE RUNNER. But Captain Feline and Chief Strange also rock smaller stages or acoustic venues and theatres, as a full band or in a duo or solo cabaret or electroacoustic show.
The 5th album OUT (feat. Brian Viglione – Dresden Dolls, Nine Inch Nails, Violent Femmes) was funded by Berlin Senate, Goethe Institute Marseille, and German Bundestag. Penultimate release: a collaboration with British Symphonic Punk act BIRDEATSBABY. The band dropped their 6th album ‘Trigger Warning’ in April 2020, again funded by musicboard Berlin, and celebrated by press and fans as an exceptional work of art. In 2020, besides several international collab recordings, the first album in German was born; KUNST FORDERT OPFER will be released in 2022 on Foxy Records.
