Force of Nature is a Japanese DJ and production duo consisting of KZA (Keizo Shimizu) and DJ Kent (Kentaro Iwaki). They are known for their eclectic style, which blends elements of hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, and electronic music. Force of Nature gained international recognition for their contribution to the soundtrack of the anime series "Samurai Champloo," which was directed by Shinichirō Watanabe. The soundtrack, particularly the "Samurai Champloo Music Record - Impression" album, showcases their ability to fuse traditional Japanese sounds with contemporary music genres to create a unique auditory experience that complements the series' fusion of Edo-period backdrop with modern cultural references. Beyond their work on "Samurai Champloo," Force of Nature has been active in the music scene, producing remixes and original tracks that continue to resonate with fans of underground hip-hop and electronic music.
