Hermann Nitsch is an Austrian avant-garde artist known for his multi-sensory works, particularly in the field of performance art. Nitsch's work often involves ritualistic elements and is part of what he calls the Orgien Mysterien Theater (Orgies Mysteries Theater), which seeks to engage all five senses.
