Life Of Agony

Life Of Agony

New York Alternative Metal Band

Life of Agony is an alternative metal band from Brooklyn, New York, that was formed in 1989. The band's career took off with their debut album "River Runs Red" in 1993, which was followed by the album "Ugly" in 1995. Their music is known for its powerful blend of heavy metal and hardcore punk, with emotionally charged lyrics often reflecting on themes of pain and personal turmoil. The band underwent a hiatus in the early 2000s but reunited in 2003 and has since continued to record and perform. In 2017, they released "A Place Where There's No More Pain," their fifth studio album after a 12-year gap from their previous release. Life of Agony's lineup has seen changes over the years, but key members have included vocalist Mina Caputo (formerly known as Keith Caputo before coming out as transgender), guitarist Joey Z, bassist Alan Robert, and drummer Sal Abruscato, who was later replaced by Veronica Bellino. The band's most recent work includes "The Sound of Scars," released in 2019, which serves as a sequel to their debut album and has been well-received by fans for its return to the band's roots while exploring new sonic territories. Life of Agony has maintained a dedicated fan base throughout their career and continues to be an influential presence in the alternative metal scene.
