The Murder Junkies are an American punk rock band, best known for having been the backing band of notorious punk rock performer GG Allin during the last years of his life. After Allin's death in 1993, the band continued to perform and record music. The Murder Junkies were originally formed by GG Allin and his brother Merle Allin. They have maintained a cult following within the punk community and are known for their raw, aggressive style of punk rock, as well as their controversial performances which often include nudity and other provocative antics on stage. The band's lineup has changed over the years, with Merle Allin remaining a constant member. They have released several albums post-GG Allin's era, continuing to contribute to the punk scene with their distinct sound and uncompromising attitude.
