Warning is a British doom metal band that was formed in 1994 by Patrick Walker. The band is known for its melancholic and emotionally heavy style of music, which has been influential in the doom metal genre. Warning released their debut album, "The Strength to Dream," in 1999, which was followed by the critically acclaimed "Watching from a Distance" in 2006. Despite their relatively small discography, Warning's music has garnered a dedicated following and has had a significant impact on the development of doom metal. The band's sound is characterized by slow tempos, thick guitar riffs, and Walker's poignant vocal delivery. After going on hiatus, Patrick Walker eventually formed the band 40 Watt Sun, which continues to explore similar musical themes as Warning.
