Three-way column speaker with front bassreflex - the best-selling model in the Labrador range

The totally versatile loudspeaker, a long-standing fixture in the range, is completely fitted with Danish speakers. The sound aims beyond its price range and will please even discerning audiophiles.

The soundboard is made from a combination of MDF and particleboard panels. Excellent rigidity has been achieved by combining plate and cross bracing, and of course the use of a sandwich front. Rigidity and vibration resistance is one of the cornerstones of the L26 MKIII's sound quality.

A pair of Scan-speak woofers with large 8" fiberglass diaphragms, precision symmetrical rubberm suspension and a strong magnet on the die-cast basket is another essential element to achieve powerful and accurate bass. The bassreflex is located on the front panel, making it possible to place the speaker up against the wall without significant sonic distortion.

The centre speaker uses the same elements as both woofers - a rigid aluminium basket, rubber suspension, a linear magnetic motor and a lightweight carbon fibre diaphragm.This speaker also comes from Scan-speak Denmark and is housed in aa separate, separate and well-suppressed porster, which is part of the internal bracing.

The reproduction of the highest frequencies is taken care of by a 1" tweeter with a fabric calotte and ferrofluid, which is one of Vifa's best models.

The distribution of functions between the individual transducers is handled by an electronic switch, made using the D2D method withm precision coiled polyester capacitors applied to a carrier panel with massive solder points.The internal wiring and all internal connections are hot soldered as well.

The loudspeaker is fitted with a removable cover frame, which is fixed by invisible integrated magnets. This ensures that the front of the loudspeaker is clean and free from disturbing holes when the cover is removed. The underside is fitted with fitted defogging spikes.

Sonically, the L26 MKIII is a very versatile loudspeaker that handles any genre of music brilliantly. It has a powerful and solid bass, a very clear midrange and a subtle trebleIt handles dynamic rock passages just as well as it handles the detailed presentation of chamber vocals. Of course, the L26 MKIII is also well suited to the position of a leading home cinema speaker.
