Drei Halbtöne tiefer findet er einen "gewaltigen wie schwereren Sound" und zwingt Bassist Geezer Butler es ihm gleichzutun. Das Resultat wirkt auf Generationen von Musikern nach - ob Nirvana, Soundgarden oder Smashing Pumpkins - sie alle beziehen sich auf diesen Meilenstein. Ozzy Osbourne gibt vor, sich auf Grund der vielen Nebelschwaden im Studio "an nichts mehr erinnern zu können", merkt aber gleichzeitig an, dass "Children Of The Grave" wohl der beste "kick-ass Song sei, den man je komponiert habe".
