Brian May: Back To The Light LTD | CLR Die Version auf Vinyl LP/2CD/Box Set in remastered limitierte farbiger Auflage. Diese besondere Auflage wurde veröffentlicht in Europa im Verlag EMI am 6. August 2021.
Reissue of Brian May's solo debut It's been almost 30 years since the release of Brian May's "Back To The Light" album. The album will be re-released in remastered form on CD and vinyl in 2021. Released in 1992, "Back To The Light" is the first solo album by the Queen guitarist, but the second album he has not released. In 1983, the mini LP "Star Fleet Project" by Brian May + Friends was released. May began work on Back To The Light in 1987. The album was recorded between 1988 and 1992 at Allerton Hill Studios and mixed at Metropolis. May played most of the instruments himself. Cozy Powell and Don Airey of Deep Purple and John Deacon of Queen appear as guests on the album. A total of twelve songs eventually made the track list. The most famous singles include "Driven By You" and "Too Much Love Will Kill You", which reached the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, as well as "Resurrection" and the instrumental "Last Horizon", which became Queen's live track. The album itself charted at number six in the UK and number 25 in Germany. For the re-release, the original album was remastered from the original tapes by Bob Ludwig. Brian May supervised the work. In a press release he wrote: "I was a little nervous at first because I thought, what is this going to do to me? It was fascinating to go back and rediscover why I wrote some of the things I did. What they meant to me. How we recorded. Some of them are so massive in the recording that I can't even believe we did it - some of them are very epic. And I like that. And at the same time, there are little nooks and crannies that are very simple, very subtle and emotionally bare." The reissue will be released in a variety of formats: as a CD in a digipak with a 12-page booklet with rare photos and album notes; as a double CD in a six-panel digipak with the album and a bonus CD with alternate versions, B-sides and live tracks and a 24-page booklet with rare photos and album notes; as an LP on 180g black vinyl with printed inner sleeve; and as a limited collector's edition boxset. Released in a 12ʺ box with double CD in wallets and enamel plaque, 24-page 12ʺ booklet and 180g white vinyl.
Album Genres übergreifend Rock, Pop Rock, Hard Rock und Blues-Rock. 180g Remastered White Coloured Vinyl Limited Collectors Edition Boxset.
