"California Dreamin'" by The Mamas And The Papas dates from the first year of her life, 1965, and the title song, "Wallflower" by Bob Dylan, is a 1971 bootleg classic that wasn't officially released until 1991. Diana Krall deliberately chose songs that influenced her in her youth. Her tastes - or the tastes of those around her - were clearly versatile. On her new album "Wallflower", Diana Krall brings us together with good old musical friends. "I'm Not In Love", "Don't Dream It's Over", "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". The project was accompanied by the experienced producer David Foster. After her previous experimental album, Diana Krall returns to catchy musical territory with "Wallflower". Slowing down familiar songs. Diana Krall enters into a dialogue with these classics quietly and calmly, as if she wants to trace memories of her childhood and youth in a particularly gentle way.
