WhoCares. Who's who? Behind the project is none other than legendary Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan and Black Sabbath guitar god Tony Iommi. In May 2011, to the delight of all rock and metal fans, the pair continued a collaboration that began back in 1983 with Black Sabbath's "Born Again". The result was the brilliant two-track debut single "Out Of My Mind / Holy Water", the vinyl edition of which, limited to 1000 copies worldwide, sold out immediately. And the connoisseurs will be pleased to see the other members of WhoCares: Jon Lord on keyboards, Iron Maiden drummer Nico McBrain, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and HIM guitarist Mikko Lindström! WhoCares is dedicated to charitable causes and in particular supports the rebuilding of a music school in Gyumri, Armenia. After the terrible earthquake in 1988, both Gillan and Iommi spent a lot of time in the stricken country (including as part of the Rock Aid Armenia project), supporting the rebuilding of the crisis-stricken country. The "compilation" also aims to support music schools in Armenia. In addition to "Out Of My Mind" and "Holy Water", this compilation contains exclusive rarities from Deep Purple/Ian Gillan and Black Sabbath/Tony Iommi.
