The Gizz now play thrash metal. They have that in their little finger too. No wonder. The seven-piece band's fifteenth studio album - and second this year after "Fishing For Fishies" - is by far The Gizz's heaviest album. It draws on the golden era of thrash metal in the mid and late eighties: Metallica and Slayer, of course, but also lesser cited bands like Exodus, Kreator and Overkill. The fact that not all seven members were involved in the recording of the album, but actually only three, is only incidental, as the band has taken a, shall we say, flexible approach to these things since its inception. Expect the unexpected, it probably doesn't apply to any other band as much as it does to The Gizz.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard's Infest The Rats' Nest is a great album. It's one of their heaviest albums and it's full of great songs. The album is a little shorter than some of their other albums, but that doesn't take away from the fun of it. If you are a fan of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard , or just heavy music in general, definitely give Infest The Rats' Nest a listen.
