Finnish hard rock and melodic heavy metal band Lordi was founded in 1992 by singer, songwriter, designer and costume designer Mr Lordi. The band is known for their monstrous costumes and horror elements in their stage shows and music videos. With catchy songs and shuddering riffs, the eerie lyrics will burn themselves into listeners' brains whether you like it or not. Lordi has been actively touring since 2002 and will release their eighth studio album, "Monstereophonic (Theaterror vs. Demonarchy)" this year. The album shows for the first time two completely different sides of the band, on one side traditional hard rock - "Theaterror" - and on the other side "Demonarchy", with a more modern sound combined with heavy riffs. The album was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Finland and produced by Nino Laurenne, who had already contributed to the 2008 album "Deadache".
