Metal Church from Los Angeles was one of the most innovative and unfortunately also the least known heavy metal bands of the 80s. "The Dark", their second album, is undoubtedly a masterpiece of their heavy air guitar attack. Every song on this album, from the in-your-face "Ton Of Bricks" at the beginning, to the incredible wail of "Watch The Children Pray" in the middle, to the equally melodic and punchy "Burial At Sea" and "Western Alliance" at the end, is a classic. David Wayne's vocals do a great job on "The Dark" and add a metal consistency and quality to the album.
