The Times is the 38th studio album by Neil Young , released on 17 January 2020. The album was produced by Young and John Hanlon. It is a double album, with the first disc containing 10 new songs and the second disc containing 10 acoustic songs. The album was recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.

"The Times" features songs from Neil Young's 2020 online concert series "Fireside Session", including the protest song "Lookin' For A Leader 2020". Young released the song last July with a clear message to U.S. President Donald Trump. The 47-year-old launched the "Fireside Sessions" at the start of the Corona pandemic and has been entertaining his fans with them on a regular basis. When he released his revamped anti-Trump song, he wrote on it, "I invite the president to play this song at his next rally." In 2006, the song Lookin' For A Leader appeared on his album Living With War, and even then it was directed against the U.S. government. Only it wasn't Donald Trump that Neil openly attacked, but then-reigning President George W. Bush.
