Grammy Award-winning producer and musician Mark Johnson and his team Playing For Change has traveled the world for decades with one goal in mind: to connect the world through music. Their ambitious journey began in post-apartheid South Africa, through the Middle East, to the Himalayas and on around the world. Using the latest mobile recording technology, they recorded more than 100 musicians, often outdoors, in parks, on promenades, in the streets, so that the album features, for example, the Omagh Community Youth Choir of Ireland singing 'Love Rescue Me," written by U2 and Bob Dylan, along with American street musician Roger Ridley, or Grandpa Elliott with Clarence Bekker from Holland, with choirs from Russia, Spain, Venezuela, France and Brazil, alongside musicians from Congo, Israel, India, Zimbabwe, Ghana and other countries
