Rybičky 48 celebrates twenty years of existence! Spectacular celebrations include new album, single and sold out O2 arena The living legends of Czech punk-rock, the band Rybičky 48, have been on the scene for over twenty years. And how else to celebrate the band's birthday than with a concert in the biggest Czech hall? On 20 October, the Kutná Hora band will present a spectacular musical and visual show at the O2 Arena. Not only the biggest hits will be performed, but also new songs that will be released on the album Jedeme dál on 23 September together with the single of the same name. "Twice we had to postpone the concert due to a cover. But I firmly believe that it will work out now. At least we had more time to prepare and now we have a special stage. I believe people will enjoy it. It will be a great celebration," frontman Kuba Ryba entices the fans. Fans will be able to see the latest album, entitled Jedeme dál , before the concert. It will include a brand new song of the same name as well as already known singles. "We already made the last album by working on the singles and releasing them continuously with music videos. This one will be in a similar vein," Kuba elaborates, adding: "We tried different producers on it and although they did a great job, we're going to do the next record ourselves like we did the old one. We need to go back to our roots." The album was made by some of the biggest names in the Czech production pond. Filip Vlček, Lukáš Chromek and Radek Tomášek helped shape the album. But the interesting list of names does not end with the producers. "Pokáč, Marek Ztracený, Bára Zemanová or Vašek Bláha from Divoký Bill are guests on the record," adds guitarist Petr Lebeda. Rybičky is celebrating 20 years of its existence, and a documentary mapping the career of the Czech band is currently in the making, and in the words of lead singer Kuba Ryba, it's full of funny stories. "Sometimes I wonder how it is possible that we survived," says Kuba with a smile. But the celebrations don't end there, the culmination will come on 20 October in Prague's O2 Arena, where Rybičky 48 are preparing a special show. "It will be the biggest stage we have ever built. If everything we are planning goes well, it will be a great experience for the people," Petr is looking forward to it. "I'm looking forward to it and I'm a little bit scared that my pipes won't get knocked off before the concert," concludes Kuba Ryba.
