The Legacy is the third studio album by American thrash metal band Testament , released on November 21, 1987 by Atlantic Records. The album was produced by Alex Perialas and was recorded at Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, New York. The Legacy was the band's first album to feature vocalist Chuck Billy and bassist Greg Christian. The album received a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling 500,000 copies in the United States.
