Moondance is an album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison , released in 1970. It is his fourth studio album and is considered his breakthrough album. The album was produced by Morrison and Lewis Merenstein and features guest appearances by Jack Bruce, George Harrison and Bobby Womack. The album was commercially and critically successful, reaching number four on the Billboard 200 chart and being awarded a platinum record by the Recording Industry Association of America.

It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 and in 2003 Rolling Stone magazine ranked it 65th on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
