The history of Yes is characterised by repeated line-up changes and sometimes significant changes in style. The band's creative and artistic peak is considered to be the 1970s, when some of the great albums of progressive rock were made, while their greatest commercial success came in 1983. The classic rock-based group was formed in 1968 by Jon Anderson and Chris Squire with backing musicians Peter Banks, Tony Kay and Bill Bruford. The nine songs you'll find here, recorded at three different venues, come from this early phase of the band. They were recorded as part of sessions for BBC Radio 1, the Belgian show "Pop Eye" and from the club "Chikito" for Swiss television.
