The Low Anthem is an American indie folk band formed in Providence, Rhode Island, in 2006. The band's lineup has seen changes over the years, with Ben Knox Miller and Jeff Prystowsky being the founding members. The Low Anthem gained critical acclaim with their 2009 album "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin," which showcased their ability to juxtapose hauntingly quiet moments with raucous, anthem-like folk rock. In 2018, they released "The Salt Doll Went To Measure The Depth Of The Sea," an album inspired by a near-fatal van crash that occurred while on tour.
