The parent company Trikont Verlags GmbH is a German, Munich-based publishing company founded in 1967. It was founded by an already existing, independent publishing house. Trikont releases a wide range of popular music (Country Music, Hillbilly, Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Cajun, Zydeco, etc.) with particular focus on American music before WWII. Trikont also releases folk & traditional music from all over the world, sometimes with a thematic approach as with the compilations "La Paloma", "Queer noises", "Africa raps", "England´s dreaming", "Black & proud", "American Yodeling".
