Rock or Bust is the eighteenth studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC.It was released on 28 November 2014 and is the band's first album in six years since the release of Black Ice in 2008. The release of the album was announced on 15 October 2014 and the first single "Play Ball" was released on 17 October. The album's title track was released as the second single on December 3. The album Rock or Bust was produced by Brendan O'Brien and featured contributions from Brian Johnson - vocals, Angus Young - guitar, Malcolm Young - guitar, Cliff Williams - bass and Phil Rudd - drums. This is the band's first album without founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2014 and left the band shortly after the album's release. The album debuted at number one in 29 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. It was certified platinum in eight countries and gold in four. The album Rock or Bust was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2015.
