A good two years ago, the psychedelic funk instrumental combo and the soul singer with a penchant for retro sounds met on tour. The idea of making music together was born. In 2020, the time is finally right. "Texas Sun" is the title of their collaborative EP, a tribute of sorts to this American state. The first single, the title track "Texas Sun", takes the listener on a relaxed, groovy journey through the Texas landscape from Fort Worth to Amarillo. "C-Side" is the second preview of the four-song album. The exotic funk blends with a unique soul voice: Khruangbin and Leon Bridges are a more than successful combination.
